Sue Carpenter is an award- winning writer of speculative fiction, romance, young adult, and children’s literature.
She was a finalist for the 2025 Te Pae Tawhiti Outstanding Achievement Award for the Blood Protectors collection and longlisted for the 2026 Saint Julius Vogel Awards for Best Youth Novel with Puzzles and Pearls.
At the International Writers Workshop, she took First Place in Sci-Fi/Fantasy for Blood Protectors, plus Highly Commended honours for Lavender Hill (Picture book), and The Switches (Long Fiction), and Third Place in Story in Dialogue for Puzzles and Pearls.
Under pen names Rosie Lee, Lee Simpson, and Susan Glamuzina, she has published over 30 books and led five anthologies.
