Kate Gordon-Smith

Children

Kate Gordon-Smith spent 90% of her childhood reading books about ponies. The other 10% she spent galloping around the garden with her family’s pet Beagle. Now she’s penning fun adventure and mystery stories about brave friends, ponies and unicorns, and much-loved dogs for readers aged seven to 12.

Kate is the founder and owner of the Kiwi Kids’ Bookstore, an online store which showcases books by New Zealand authors for readers aged 0 to 15. She created the NZ Indie Publishing Directory to support Kiwi authors seeking professional support for their self-publishing journey. She also offers book publicity and marketing services through her business, Relish Communications.

Kate lives in North Canterbury with her husband, their red and white collie Kenzie and rescue dog Snow, a retired racehorse, his paddock-mate pony, and a small flock of noisy, demanding sheep. Find out more about Kate’s author life and her books on her website.
