Gillian Beath lives in New Zealand’s Waikato, in the beautiful country town of Te Aroha.
She runs a doggy daycare centre from home, after being a dog groomer for thirty years.
At the age of 68 she realised she needed more to her life and went on a mission to accomplish some childhood dreams.
First came piano lessons, still going well. Then she joined the local choir and had singing lessons. Then she found the local writing group, which she joined with her poetry but soon realised that the dream of writing a book, which she never believed she could do, was so worth working hard for. From there this book developed with the help and patience of the group. A learning curve and a four-year journey, but it has been worth it and proven that dreams are not free, they must be pursued and age should never get in the way. Gillian is 73 years old.
On the run, but not believing why, Shelly tries to protect her cat while being followed by a police minder. She has to face the past and the future.
A past she cannot remember sends twenty-year-old Shelly on the run with her cat and a police minder whom she resents.
As the truth reveals itself in a series of shocking events, she is forced to remember the chilling incident that shaped her life.
Her newfound freedom and everything she has fought for is threatened.
She is not prepared to let that happen.
Gillian’s book is available direct from author, Amazon, and soon to be listed with Wheelers.
